Presentation at the Central Erasmus+ Info Day

The Faculty for Montenegrin Language and Literature Presented the Project “Empowering Education: Re-Building the Bridges in the Western Balkan Region” at the Central Erasmus+ Info Day

At the central Erasmus+ Information Day in the field of higher education, held at the Rectorate of the University of Montenegro, the project “Empowering Education: Re-Building the Bridges in the Western Balkan Region (RBWB)”, coordinated by the Faculty for Montenegrin Language and Literature, was presented. The project was introduced to the audience by its coordinator, Milan Marković.

The event was organized by the National Erasmus+ Office in Montenegro and gathered representatives of the academic community, state institutions, and international organizations to review the results of Montenegro’s participation in the Erasmus+ programme and to present new opportunities within the 2026 call.

In the opening part of the event, representatives of institutions involved in the Erasmus+ programme addressed the participants, including representatives of the National Erasmus+ Office, the University of Montenegro, the Ministry of Education, Science and Innovation of Montenegro, and the Delegation of the European Union to Montenegro.

The Director of the National Erasmus+ Office, Vanja Drljević, particularly emphasized the importance of the results Montenegro has achieved within the Capacity Building in Higher Education (CBHE) action. On that occasion, she noted that Montenegro is currently participating in nine projects, two of which are coordinated by Montenegrin institutions.

“What is particularly significant is that we have two coordinating institutions. One project is coordinated by the University of Montenegro, while the other project, which is especially important because it appears for the first time in the Erasmus+ programme as a coordinator, is coordinated by the Faculty for Montenegrin Language and Literature,” Drljević pointed out.

The project Empowering Education: Re-Building the Bridges in the Western Balkan Region (RBWB) was presented as one of the two coordinating projects from Montenegro that successfully passed the evaluation process within the Erasmus+ CBHE call.

RBWB is a Capacity Building in Higher Education (CBHE) project funded through the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union. It is implemented by an international consortium of higher education institutions and partner organizations with the aim of strengthening institutional capacities, improving academic quality, and fostering sustainable international cooperation. The project focuses on improving governance structures at universities, developing academic programmes, strengthening quality assurance mechanisms, and enhancing the digital and organizational capacities of participating institutions.

The participation and presentation of the RBWB project at this event once again confirmed the active role of the Faculty for Montenegrin Language and Literature in international projects and its importance within the Erasmus+ programme.
